UAE Financial Intelligence Unit

The UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (UAE FIU) serves as the national center for financial intelligence in the United Arab Emirates. Established within the Central Bank of the UAE, it operates independently to combat money laundering, terrorism financing, and related financial crimes. The unit's mission is to protect both the UAE and the global economy by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence from Suspicious Transaction Reports submitted by licensed financial institutions and designated non-financial businesses. The UAE FIU is structured into eight sections, including operational and support areas, to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.
