Tawazun

Tawazun Economic Council (TEC) is an independent government entity in the UAE, established in 1992 and headquartered in Sweihan, Abu Dhabi. Originally known as the UAE Offsets Group, it was rebranded in 2007. TEC focuses on driving economic growth, defense and security acquisitions, technology innovation, and industrial development. Since 2021, it has served as the primary authority for acquisitions related to the UAE Armed Forces and Abu Dhabi Police. The council promotes economic diversification through initiatives like the Tawazun Economic Program and the Strategic Development Fund, supporting over 111 companies across various sectors, including defense manufacturing.
