Tadweer Saudi, also known as Tadweer Food Recycling Company, is based in Dammam’s 2nd Industrial City and was established in 2016. The company focuses on food waste management, converting excess food into organic fertilizers. This initiative addresses the growing food waste issue in Saudi Arabia, which has seen an increase from 13 million tons in 2015 to a projected 17.5 million tons in 2020. Tadweer collaborates with various sectors that generate significant food surplus, including hotels, malls, wedding halls, and hypermarkets. By collecting and treating this excess food, the company promotes sustainability and enhances soil quality through its composting process.
