SOHAR Port and Freezone is a deep-sea port and freezone located in Liwa, Oman. Managed by SOHAR Industrial Port Company, a joint venture between the Port of Rotterdam and the Sultanate of Oman, it has been operational since 2004 and spans over 4,500 hectares. The port handles over one million metric tons of sea cargo weekly and has attracted more than $26 billion in multinational investments, making it a key player in Asia-Europe trade routes. The port features four main industrial clusters: metals, petrochemicals, logistics, and the SOHAR Food Zone, which includes a dedicated agro bulk terminal.
