SEZAD, the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm, is Oman's largest special economic zone, established in 2011 to promote economic diversification under Vision 2040. Covering 2,000 square kilometers, including a 60-90 km coastline along the Arabian Sea, SEZAD aims to position Duqm as a global economic hub. The zone benefits from its strategic location near major international shipping lanes, offering significant advantages such as political stability, natural resources, and investor incentives like 100% foreign ownership and long-term corporate tax exemptions.
