Qatar Power Company (QPower) is a joint stock company that serves as an independent power and water producer in Qatar. It is one of the largest producers of electricity and desalinated water in the country and operates as a subsidiary of Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC), which holds a 55% ownership stake. The company provides electricity and potable water to Qatar through its Ras Laffan Power Plant, located about 100 kilometers from Hamad International Airport. This facility has a production capacity of 1,025 megawatts of electricity and 60 million gallons of water per day, making it the largest Independent Water & Power Project in Qatar.
