OQ Base Industries (SFZ) SAOG, known as OQBI, is Oman's only integrated producer of methanol, ammonia, and LPG products. Headquartered in the Salalah Free Zone, the company operates as a subsidiary of OQ SAOC and was founded in 2006. OQBI focuses on sustainable development and innovation while emphasizing operational excellence and environmental responsibility. The company operates through two main segments: the Methanol Integrated Plant and the LPG Plant. OQBI produces methanol for various applications, including chemical production and fuel cells, and ammonia for fertilizers and cleaning products. Its LPG products include propane, butane, and cooking gas.
