Makkah Mass Rail Transit

Makkah Mass Rail Transit (MMRT), also known as Mecca Mass Rail Transit Company (MMRTC), is a government-owned company in Saudi Arabia focused on developing, operating, and maintaining a metro system in Mecca. This initiative aims to improve public transportation, especially during the Hajj pilgrimage. The company is headquartered in Makkah and employs between 50 to 99 people. MMRT oversees the Mecca Metro, which will feature a 188 km network with four planned lines and 87 stations. The project is part of the Mecca Public Transport Programme, which integrates various transport services to meet the needs of both pilgrims and residents.
