Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is a multilateral development finance institution based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Established in 1975, it aims to promote economic development and social progress in its member countries and Muslim communities worldwide, adhering to Shariʿah principles. The IsDB was founded by 22 member countries and has since expanded to 56 members across Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The IsDB Group consists of several entities, including the Islamic Research and Training Institute, the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit, and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector.
