HBKU College of Islamic Studies

HBKU College of Islamic Studies (CIS) is a graduate-level institution within Hamad Bin Khalifa University, established in 2007. Located in Doha, Qatar, CIS serves as a center for contemporary Islamic studies, promoting intellectual discourse on Islam in a global context. The college offers a blend of traditional Islamic sciences and modern social sciences through 10 graduate and PhD programs, primarily taught in English, with some courses available in Arabic. CIS currently enrolls 202 students and has over 937 alumni from various nationalities. The programs prepare students for careers in academia, research, cultural sectors, business, finance, and global affairs.
