GCC Railways Authority

The GCC Railways Authority (GCCRA) is a regional organization formed by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Established in 2021, its primary goal is to coordinate the development of a unified railway network spanning approximately 2,177 km, connecting all six countries from Kuwait City to Muscat, with a target completion date of December 2030. The GCCRA oversees the integration of national rail networks for both passenger and freight transport, enhancing economic cooperation and mobility in the region.
