The founders of Doha Takaful believed in the necessity of establishing and operating an Islamic window given the fast-growing division of the Insurance industry. Doha Takaful started operation as a branch of Doha Takaful by the provisions of Islamic Shari'a in 2006 subsequently converted to a limited liability company during the year 2018 and was granted the license by Qatar Central Bank to practice Islamic Insurance operations within the State Of Qatar. Doha Takaful operates on a no-usury basis in all areas of insurance.
