Dhafrah PV2 Energy Company LLC, operating as Al Dhafrah Solar PV2, is responsible for the Al Dhafra Solar PV2 project, a 2 GW utility-scale solar power plant located near Abu Dhabi, UAE. Completed in 2023, this facility is the largest single-site solar plant in the world, utilizing nearly 4 million bifacial solar panels to generate clean electricity. The project plays a significant role in the UAE's Energy Strategy 2050, aiming for 50% clean energy and net-zero emissions by 2050. The Al Dhafra Solar PV2 project powers over 160,000 households and displaces approximately 2.4 million metric tons of CO2 emissions annually.
