Borouge

Borouge is a prominent petrochemical company based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in innovative polyolefin solutions. Founded in 1998 as a joint venture between ADNOC and Borealis, the company operates one of the largest integrated polyolefin complexes in the world, located in Al Ruwais Industrial City. Since its production began in 2001, Borouge has significantly expanded its capacity, reaching 5 million tonnes by early 2022, with plans to increase to 6.4 million tonnes by 2025. The company manufactures a range of polyolefins, primarily polyethylene and polypropylene, utilizing proprietary Borstar technology.
