Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (BHIG) is a hydrogen production company located in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. It specializes in producing lower-carbon hydrogen for industrial applications. BHIG is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Air Products Qudra, with each company holding a 50% equity interest. The company focuses on producing blue hydrogen, which is derived from natural gas with emissions captured and stored using carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology. BHIG's operations are linked to Aramco's CCS hub, facilitating the capture and permanent storage of CO2 emissions. This captured CO2 can also be used to create more environmentally-friendly chemicals and fuels.
